Project Description

The programme consisted of a number of projects that included general repairs, redecorations, roofing repairs, electrical upgrades, flooring, sanitary replacement and kitchen replacements. As all schemes vary as regards the nature of the work, we adopted a methodology, programme and supply chain that suited the specific project requirements. For example, for a project in Ealing, London, due to the traditional nature of the roofing works (random, diminishing, West Moorland slate) we elected to engage one of our preferred subcontractors from the Midlands, due to their expertise and familiarity with the work type. Due to the range of differing projects, our strategy is to maintain consistency by way of the staff we deploy. Therefore, all Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Supervisors and Foremen, have all worked on Salvation Army projects before, and are known to the Estates Management team and their agents. Thus, along with our direct delivery teams, we have continuity of resource. Supply chain is also engaged by way of experience and project familiarity.
