Project Description

This flagship project is a state of the art 400-seat auditorium, a 120 seat studio theatre, a multi-use rehearsal room, teaching suites, a feature foyer and associated landscaped grounds. The complex design and build project consisted of a four-storey concrete frame auditorium with a state of the art adaptable stage and hi-tech sound, audio and visual installation. Approximately 15,000 metres of cabling detail was installed to power the stage lighting and audio-visual elements. The project was awarded to Shaylor Group based on its value engineering cost of over £1 million. Working alongside a live school environment enabled the project team to understand and work around the school’s operations to ensure minimum disruption to the daily curriculum.

“Thank you and your whole team for your incredible efforts and hard work in getting the Performing Arts Centre ready for the opening concerts. We always knew that it would be a tall order to be in a state to open to the public and the fact that we did it, is a testament to how everyone pulled together and worked so hard. Please pass this on to your whole team as each and every one of them deserves massive thanks and credit.”
