British Safety Council 5 Star Accreditation

Shaylor Group plc were awarded the highly sought after Five Star Accreditation in July 2007. This audit is a unique service provided by the British Safety Council and following a review of our health and safety performance, from the management of H&S through to the implementation of associated systems in the workplace, an overall numerical score of our performance was determined.

Following this intensive audit, we achieved five star status.

'Contract Journal SME Contractor of the Year 2006' - Shortlisted

Shaylor Construction was short listed in the Contract Journal SME Contractor of the Year 2006.

Following an intensive employee and company wide survey, feedback was gathered and Shaylor beat off tough competition to gain a place as one of the top four SME Contractors in the UK.

‘Built in Quality Awards 2007’

Shaylor Construction won the category for ‘Major Commercial Works’ for our works with Royal Shakespeare Company.

Simon Walker, Site Manager for the works collected the award on behalf of Shaylor at Stratford Upon Avon District Council.

The works undertaken at Royal Shakespeare Company involved complete refurbishment of the rehearsal studios, which have since been voted as one of the best in the country.

Sunday Times Best SME Companies to Work For 2005

Shaylor Construction beat off competition in being voted the 25th Best Company To Work For™, at one of the most coveted and prestigious awards in the UK.

The survey was based on the responses of nearly 13,000 SME employees to 66 questions covering areas such as leadership, personal growth, wellbeing, fair dealing, how employees feel towards our immediate manager, our colleagues and our company in general, and what employees feel about how much their company gives back to the community.

Birmingham Post Regional Best SME Companies to Work For 2005

Shaylor Construction gained 4th place in the Birmingham Post Regional Best SME Companies to Work For.

Employees noted that Shaylor was a “forward-thinking, yet personable organisation which placed high value on its staff and was a great place to work”.
